The choice of the title "Marea" (Italian for "tide") has a symbolic meaning in two respects. First, the two parts of the piece, slow and fast part, for ebb and flow. Second, it symbolizes the ups and downs (as in tides) that one has as a young instrumental student learning an instrument and working on a piece. I wish the young soloists much joy and good success.
