Composed originally for brass quartet, for the SSQW 2009 as a compulsory piece of the 1st category. Arranged and adapted for saxophone quartet.

Imaginations consists of four parts/movements: Arabesque, Meditation, La Danza and Final. A piece that was composed completely freely and is not bound to any compositional form. Although the work remains bound to keys, these are constantly changing. Hence no key signatures. "Arabesque" is a cheerful, rhythmic part with elements from Arabic music. The "Meditation" sounds as the title says: meditative. A very slow movement where duols and triplets alternate again and again. "La Danza" is a fast dance movement in 6/8 time and in the "Final" it becomes even faster and more virtuosic, but in 4/4 time.
