Commandé par le Brass Band l'Elite de Cressier pour son 100ème anniversaire

This piece was commissioned by the Brass Band de l'Elite de Cressier on the occasion of its 100th anniversary and is one of eight pieces written to accompany the humorous tale "Le pied d'Estale" by Jacques Béalle. The play, in medieval style, influenced the inspiration for this composition. This piece was the opening piece before the play began and presents the various musical themes that appeared in the later pieces throughout the play.
