Pour Christine

"Aria" was commissioned by Marc-Olivier Broillet, conductor of the Lyre Paroissiale of La Roche. It was a gift to his wife Christine, who played flugelhorn in the Lyre Paroissiale de La Roche. His wish was for his wife and their two daughters, who also play cornet and percussion instruments in the same brass band, to perform a slow and technically simple trio solo piece together at the annual concert, accompanied by their ensemble. The result was "Aria" for flugelhorn, cornet, vibraphone and brass band.
